The house/room offered everything one needs. Food was excellent. Very friendly staff. Would love to go back soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well off the beaten track, opened late 2016. They have six stilted bungalows with amazing views over the lake. Very relaxing, with very friendly staff. Really tasty food all sourced locally. They use solar pv for electricity topped up by a generator at night and solar water heaters for the showers and are very environmentaly friendly. Activities can be arranged by the hotel such as trekking, boat trips on the lake and they even have a canoe should you wish to paddle yourself. Fishing trips with a local fisherman can also be arranged.
Wake at sunrise and a short walk to the village to experience the novice monks carrying out their daily alms ceremony.
The hotel has very strong links with the local community and donate 10% of income to the monastry which is also home to many orphans.
We will return.

The rooms was very cleany and tidy.
The view from the balcony was simple fantastic
The food was every day frech cooked by the owner him self.. Was a great taste!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Remarkable place. Only six rooms, total tranquility. Entirely run on solar. Donates a percentage to the local monastery school. Located right at the edge of town and just next to a five day market, so much more of a local connection than with the large resorts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our favourite place in Myanmar. The cabanas are gorgeous and constructed to a high quality. The water and power are managed through a solar system that ensures the lake and surrounding environment are not harmed.
The owner and his wife are extremely friendly and will help with all your arrangements to get there (by boat or car), and help arrange things during your visit. His wife is an amazing cook. There are local villages to explore, a monastery, fishermen and fisherwomen, festivals and weekly markets.
If you want to see Inle Lake away from most tourists, this is an amazing place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our most incredible experience ever. The people at the resort are more then friendly, the rooms are clean, the surrounding is marvellous . We made some trips with the owner to a local rice waffle producer and to the local market. We had lunch and diner made from local ingredients, marvellous. We regret to leave tomorrow, but there are so many nice places to be seen in Myanmar. Thanks every one at The Inle Sanctuary Resort.

Aung Min and his family ensured every need was attended to - the home-cooked food was phenomenal and I cherished the memories from understanding the rural way of life as only locals are employed. The hotel itself is remote and a definite get-away. We elected to take a motorcycle tour in the countryside which ended up being an adventure through towns and mountains, stopping at unique locations for a bite to eat or to chat with locals.
