famous for its Buddhist tample and pagodas in numerous numbers, just like in Bagan.
Some names this place as Second Bagan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The village is peaceful and beautiful. I like this place too. You need to take time if you want to visit around the village. Although the village is not much big, there are many ancient pagodas and not located in a compound place. Some are damage and some are cover with bushes. But I swear you can amaze. Most ancient artworks are wonderful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit out of the way, but worth a look. A lot of ruined stupas and one barely standing teak monastery. There isn't much information about the place online and one on site - there used to be a big city at some point in time, probably a merchant port on the river, but now there is only a small village and the ruins of the temples left. It is located a bit off the main road between Mandalay and Monywa - can be visited if traveling between those two cities with a car or can be visited from Monywa on a motorbike or taxi - about 1 hour drive away. If coming on a motorbike from Monywa - take the main road, the one that goes close to the river is more picturesque, but in a terrible, terrible condition.
