It was a fun little performance. The man doing the puppet show is very passionate about keeping traditional culture alive. However the show was very short and quite simple. Worth seeing as a fun stop before dinner.

Fun show and worth seeing while in the town. Is only 30 minutes (7pm or 8.30pm start), and offer something a bit different.

We can only be positive about this experience. The owner is a very skilled and friendly puppeteer with a lovely family-run puppet theater. We are very happy to have seen his show. The price is very very reasonable. Please support his business by paying him and his show a visit. The puppet theater shows run daily, at 7pm and 8.30pm.

Traveled a month around myanmar and this was one of favorite things I did in the whole country! Just super cool tradition puppet show. I've never seen anything like this. The guy has been doing it forever. I fell in love. It's cheap and only about 30mins. Free tea as well! Shows are on every night definitely have to check it out!!!!!!

A must see when you are traveling to Inle Lake. A small and private place. (only able to host 10-20 people?) The ambience is nice, the show is even better. Performed by a master puppeteer.. You can feel the taste of Myanmar.

We were looking for something cultural to do in Nyaung Shwe, and Mr Aung's Puppet Show came up somehow, which was lucky as there aren't many performance arts events for the choosing. This family-run outfit runs twice during evenings, and is very much worth going to see. It's half an hour of very lively mini-theatre, and invokes some childlike joy. He makes the puppets himself too, and the quality and clothes are the best I've seen compared to the ones at stalls. Hopefully Myanmar traditional performance arts will have a renewed energy soon from the influx of tourists wanting to understand the culture, and in the meantime do pay Mr Aung and his family (they are extremely lovely!) a visit to support him and enjoy his decades of experience.
