Oh, where to start...? There is not much of a choice in Tigyaing, so this guesthouse is one of the most popular. But be prepared for an unpleasant experience if there's a problem. The owner lady is not used to hear any criticism of her rooms and will not be open to discuss with you why you want to change rooms or want to leave the guesthouse. There are rooms of different quality, so if you are lucky to choose the one with a window and a bathroom, it's good. Otherwise there are a couple of closet-like dark rooms without windows and only a few rooms with double bed. Forget hot water or pressure shower and you might see a cockroach. The blankets and towels have seen better days so maybe bring your own and you might need to sleep with streetlights shining into your windows (if you're lucky to get that room with a window) as there are no curtains. The guesthouse offers free rice and coffee/tea in the morning, but there's a nice Shan Noodle shop 1 minute away that offers delicious noodles. But the owner will help you register with the immigration office, so it's not all bad. Overall, I've stayed in much worse places but what really bothered me here was the unfriendly attitude of the owners.
