★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Each time I stay in Kaingtong i eat here. Its beautiful by the lake even if the restaurant doesn't look too promising - but the food really is excellent. The owner knows exactly what she's doing, by sticking with a consistent menu, and she cooks each meal with fresh ingredients. And you can watch her cooking from scratch. The meal arrives piping hot and fresh. They serve chilled Myanmar beer, by the cup (or we Brits would say beer mug) or a large jug - as of this evening (Aug 12th 2019) a cup of beer costs just 1000 kyats which = just US $ 0.75. I warmly comnend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best restaurant we have had in Myanmar. The owner cum chef spoke fluent mandarin and helped us with our orders, and also explained to us about the gang of beggars/kids that come to our table.
The food was amazing and leaned more to a Chinese restaurant vs a Burmese restaurant. All in all, we had over 10 dishes and the price was still reasonable. A MUST visit!
