★ ★ ★ ★ ★ သိင်္ဂုတ္တရကုန်းတော်ရှိ ရွှေတိဂုံစေတီတော်ကြီး၏ အရှေ့တောင်ယွန်းယွန်း၊ တာတစ်ထောင်အကွာ တွင်ရှိသော မြစ်ဆိပ်အနီး၌ မဟာသစ္စသေနာပတိ အမတ်သူရဲကောင်း၏ ဆရာဖြစ်သော ကျောင်းကုန်းရဟန်းတော်မှ ကြီးကြပ်တည်တော်မူသည့် ဘုရားမှာ မူလက ကျိုက်ဒေးအပ် ဟူသောဘွဲ့မည်မှ ယခု ဗိုလ်တထောင် ဆံတော်ဦးစေတီဟူသည့် ဘွဲ့မည်နှင့် ထင်ရှားလျှက်ရှိသည်ဟု သမိုင်းအဆို ရှိသည်။
ကျိုက်ဒေးအပ် ဘွဲ့မည်ရှိသော ဗိုလ်တထောင် ဆံတော်ဦးစေတီ၏ သမိုင်းကြောင်းကို လေ့လာလျှင် ဤထူးမြတ်သည့် နေရာ၌ ဘုရားရှင်၏ ဆံတော်၊ ဓာတ်တော်များအား အကြိမ်ကြိမ် ဌာပနာပြုလျှက် သုံးကြိမ်တိုင် တည်ထားတော်မူသော စေတီဖြစ်ကြောင်း တွေ့ရသည်။
(က) ထိုစဉ်က ကုန်သည်ညီနောင်ဖြစ်သည့် တဖုဿ နှင့် ဘလ္လိက တို့သည် ဗုဒ္ဓမြတ်စွာ၏ ဆံတော်မြတ်တို့အား ဥက္ကလာပ ဆိပ်ကမ်းက ကြိုဆိုပင့်ဆောင်လျက် (၇)လတိုင် မင်းနှင့် ပြည်သူအပေါင်းတို့မှ ပူဇော်ပွဲကြီး ကျင်းပခဲ့ရာ ရတနာ မဏ္ဍပ် နေရာအား ရွေးချယ်သတ်မှတ်ကာ “ကျိုက်ပါ” ဘွဲ့မည်ဖြင့် စေတီတစ်ဆူ တည်ထားခဲ့၏။ ဤစေတီကား နောင်တွင် ဗိုလ်တထောင် ကျိုက်ဒေးအပ်ဆံတော်ဦး စေတီတွင်၏။ ထိုသို့ ဘုရားရှင်ထံမှ ဦးစွာရရှိခဲ့သည် ဌာပနာပြု တည်ထားခြင်းကြောင့် ဆံတော်ဦး စေတီအဖြစ် ယနေ့တိုင် ခေါ်တွင် ခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
ဗိုလ်တထောင် ဆံတော်ဦးစေတီသည် ဥက္ကလာပမင်းကြီး အမှူးပြုလျက် တဖုဿ နှင့် ဘလ္လိက ကုန်သည်ညီနောင် တို့မှ၎င်း၊ သထုံပြည့်ရှင် သီရိဓမ္မာသောကတိသဓမ္မ သီဟရာဇာ မင်းမြတ်မှ၎င်း၊ သံလျင်မဏိဒီပကျွန်း ဘောဂသေနဘွဲ့ သီဟဒီပမင်းတို့၏ အထောက် အပံ့ဖြင့် အကြိမ်ကြိမ် တည်ထားတော်မူခဲ့ရုံသာမက တောင်ငူ တပင်ရွှေထီးမင်း၊ စဥ့်ကူးမင်း၊ ဘိုးတော်ဘုရားလက်ထက် ရွှေကျင်မင်းကြီး၊ ဘကြီးတော်ဘုရားလက်ထက်၌ ရန်ကုန်မြို့ဝန် ဦးခိုင်နှင့် ကုန်းဘောင်မင်း အဆက်ဆက်တို့မှ အဆက်ဆက် ပြုပြင် မွမ်းမံခဲ့ကြ၏။

This pagoda was later located at Botataung Kyaik Dae Ap Sandaw Oo Pagoda. It is still called the Sandaw Oo Pagoda today because of its dedication to the Buddha.
Botataung Sandaw U Pagoda is headed by King Okkalapa. From the great king Thiharazar, the king of Thaton, Thiridhamma. It was built many times with the support of King Thihadipa of Bogasena, Thanlyin Manipa Island. စွင် ကူး မင်း၊ King Shwe Kyin in the time of his father. During the reign of Bagyidaw, it was renovated by successive Yangon Mayor U Khaing and Konbaung kings.
