★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this orphanage in Nyaung Shwe (on the way to Red Mountain Winery). There are about 36 children there, a third of them boys. Enjoyable visit as the children seemed happy and well looked after. Rosa, one of the teachers showed us around and explained about the place. All the children are from poor homes in neighboring villages, and they provide them with education and living skills like cooking and cleaning. A simple place with limited resources so it is nice to make a donation or bring something for the children.
