★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very lively market, which active from pre-dawn hours to the dusk selling fresh vegetables to the clothing, fishing supplies, meat, and rice to the daily catches from the sea straight out of the fishing boats. The central market itself is an old, dilapidated building from 1956 but the marketplace has expanded to the several blocks from the waterfront towards the main road and along the Kaladan River.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of things can be found here. Good place to buy food, some clothes, kitchenwares. But not many electric equipments and personal utilities. Seafood is cheaper than other towns. Can be crowded and stuffed sometimes.
