Not a good representation about the school but totally relevant when it comes to experience. I'm going to leave a review although I'm not a student but I'd talk to a local who had visited and has a friend who study there (chat log attached*) and me having 2 interviews with the owner, so you can dismiss me as a distraught individual, if you deem it unfair. The school is run by a Taiwanese lady who have not much interest into increasing the quality of education, except to use all the free resources available to the school (which is normal) but a refusal to include a small library or study room when they intend to recruit fresh high school leavers, is just weird. There is a local library at University of Yangon was the reply, and a similar response for their Vietnam branch. I spoke to her about removing a Facebook "share / report*", and it became disrespectful for some reasons. From a public relation standpoint, I don't see a need to share anything that might be inflammatory to local competitors who're running diploma(s) that'd actually accredited by their local government. Similarly, if anyone can post anything derogatory about other schools.. they can do that same to you (was what I told her), to which she finds "suspicious" of me to say. It became "disrespectful" when she ask me to differentiate private opinions and work opinions, when I told her that people can criticize their qualification all the same. (which is formal work opinion, IMO) The Chinese MBA program seem to be a "meet" for Chinese expats and local Chinese who are there to "network", made evident by their zoom information session where they spent half the time calling prospective students as "boss", and talking about their enrolled students (screen shot attached*), instead of focusing about what the education is. I'll give credit for the AACSB degree, they offer in Myanmar. To my knowledge, they're the only "school" offering them. However, they are not ticking the boxes for quality education, just "networking". As mentioned in the beginning, you can be the judge whether my negativity is justified. My 1st interview ended with a possible job offer.. to which, I don't have a problem with. She told me that the school is too small to "fit in" what I have to offer, which is bring in quality qualification the commonwealth countries in English. However, the 2nd interview (which was 5 months after the 1st), she says that the school is expanding and she wants me to help manage their new program (Taiwanese associate degree delivered in mandarin but has a low enrollment rate), and to bring in a set of English programs, from foundation to master degree. I was specifically told that I can start contacting schools on their behalf and, I should recruit staff on my own.. while she is preparing a package for me, I was told that the finance was told to contact me but I didn't get any correspondent. I spent a week contacting schools around the world, assembling a business plan and a finance forecast for her. A few days prior to the completion of the business plan, she told me that the plans are being delayed (this happens after she thinks I'm "suspicious" for pointing out their PR issues, ref: 3rd paragraph above), became personal when I'm being straight forward to criticize. Generally, if a potential employee isn't allowed to criticize, how is the organization going to improve, and understand what they have to offer? Is it really important to have only obedient employees whom are just "yes-man" or one who tell you exactly what's what, and what to improve? Essentially I was promised a position, although I'm unaware of the offer details. She asked me to start doing some work, One might say I'm just being silly for being angry, but I'd say it's a part of "goodwill" and "respect" towards a potential employer to get things done when asked to, since I've the time (due to covid-19 restrictions and all). If the owner was respectful enough to give me a low-ball offer, and I reject. It'll be on me. Instead, it appears that she just don't like being challenged.
