Evergreen was most recommended in response to a request I posted on the Yangon Expat Connection. However, we had a rather disappointing experience with my daughter. Perhaps its not the best place for children- but or our experience could have been a one-off - I am sharing here if it could be useful in future: I took my 8 year old daughter yesterday for her first visit to the dentist for a possible filling. It was going to be a difficult experience - and it was! She was both a little scared and in some discomfort with even the cleaning – and did start to cry. She was not settling and the dentist was getting increasingly very impatient – we were not given the option of a temporary filling initially and no numbing gel seemed to be available (e.g oragel) only an anesthetic injection. It seemed to be getting to be a prolonged situation and I thought it best to leave. Then a temporary filling was recommended as an immediate measure – with the permanent filling to be done later – and we were called back from the exit. My daughter didn’t quite understand that placing the temporary filling would not hurt and raised her hand to cover her mouth at the last moment, (completely) by accident knocking the filling from the dentist’s hand. The dentist lost it at that point – shouting at my daughter, saying she had caused her to drop the filling and was just wasting her time. So, we left for a second time without the care needed...with my child in agony with the exposed cavity. Perhaps dentists have been advised on a maximum time for each consultation. Or perhaps needed materials are difficult to access in Myanmar (although what was knocked down was the size of a rice grain). However, shouting at a child clearly in distress is unacceptable. Our experience was of a rather unprofessional approach, both with respect to treatment as well as interaction.

Tucked behind City Mall St. John's, you'll be greeted by some lime green paint and 4 secretaries ready to check you in. Everyone who works here is professional and multi-lingual so this is great for expats or the unlucky tourist who needs some quick work done. Facilities are super clean and modern, and I was very pleased with my x-rays, cleaning, and estimates on some bigger work likes fillings and crowns. They have a 3% surcharge for using credit cards, but prices are very affordable compared to the States.

High Tech! I just had a crown done by Evergreen and they used a 3D laser scanner to create a topology of my teeth. The equipment then "designed" a new crown which was then in real time cut out by a computer driven milling machine. In less than two hours I had a perfect crown. They also replaced all my mercury fillings and my mouth looks great! Highly recommend these guys if you need dental work! update: i like these guys so much went back and had my entire mouth cleaned up and thirty years of bad dental work corrected. Uber happy with the results! Highly recommend!

I read the reviews before making an appointment and Evergreen Dental Care did not disappoint. From the receptionists who greet you on arrival to the doctors they are all thoroughly professional. If you are in Yangon, or choose to go there to have your teeth fixed, I highly recommend Evergreen Dental Care.

I lost a filling last week, and got a recommendation for this clinic. I put in a request for an appointment on Sunday, they responded the same day, I got an appointment on Monday, and they filled the cavity (better than my Tasmanian dentist did on 3 tries) for Ks100,000. I was all around impressed. Very professional and skilled staff. I would definitely come back.
