★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having joined both online and studio classes within past 7 months, I am really happy with F45 and here’s why.
As the name suggests, the workouts are designed for 45 mins (apart from hour-long session on Saturdays) and you will be in and out of the gym within an hour. Efficient, eh?
There are 3 types of sessions; cardio, strength/resistance and hybrid, and are assigned to each day of the week (e.g. Mondays and Wednesdays are cardio, Tuesdays and Thursdays are strength/resistance). This allows you to choose the workouts that suit your need (or you can join all the classes if you wish to).
Timing-wise, there are up to 4 timeslots for the weekdays and 2 for the weekend so, you can easily plan your day around it.
Coaches are also there to assist you with the workouts as well as motivate you. They are friendly and experienced so, don’t hesitate to approach them if you need help or want them to push you further (sometimes we need someone to push us out of comfort zone yea?)
Another advantage of F45 sessions is that you can also track your workouts (you need to purchase a device called ‘Lionheart’) in terms of min/max heart rate, calories burn during each session etc. If you are competitive, there’s also a point system for each workout among Lionheart folks. And, If you are really determined about fitness goals, you can track and monitor further (calories intake BMR etc.) with other F45 apps.
Last not least, you can join challenges and play-offs depending on your fitness goals.
Like everything else, there are also some cons to it. With F45, every minute is money, so you better work your socks off for the money that you are paying. Monthly package can be considered a premium price as compared to the other gyms in town but if you workout regularly, you can go for 6-month or 12-month options at discounted prices. Another con is that there is no proper locker room so, showering and changing after a workout can be a hassle.
At the end of the day, I’d very much reco you to give F45 a try. You just need to show up, put in the work, look out what you are eating and ultimately, you will get fitter and look better.

Regardless of your fitness level, every day will be a challenge. The question is how much do YOU want to challenge yourself?
The members are inspiring, when you want to put down that weight, you look to your left, and there is someone double your age STILL going. You look to your right, and there is someone way smaller than you lifting WAY heavier than you. You keep going.
The trainers push you when you need to be pushed, pull back when you want them to leave you alone, but most importantly, train you to make sure you don't hurt yourself.
Top notch DJs help you get through your sets, or so you don't hear yourself dying, how ever you want to look at it.
After losing over 40 pounds I was just skin and bones. I have now stopped weighing myself everyday and focus on how I feel.
Feeling the progress that I have made over the past year has been encouraging. With coordination and balance being my biggest weaknesses, I now feel like a flamingo! A flamingo with muscles! x
