★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the most legendary places in Lashio. Founded and run by the same family for nearly 50 years in the same location, this local breakfast shop specializes in Shan Noodles, Chicken Soup, & Nan Bread. You can also get Tofu Nuway (melted tofu), Peh Toe Byo (wide wonton noodles), fried bread, or steamed buns. The family legacy is great, and elderly Albert is quick to share about his story in English from the front desk. The family are Panthay ethnic group, a former Chinese muslim kingdom that controlled Dali in Yunnan a couple hundred years ago.
Its a must visit breakfast place in Lashio, and it is best to go between 06:30 and 08:00 as they run out of food early, even though it is open till noon (they say).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great family-owned place for a bowl of noodles, especially Shan noodles over breakfast. A very sociable and shady seating area in the courtyard behind. No printed menu, but the owner (though not most of the staff) speaks English and is very accommodating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place to start off the day with a fulfilling meal. We ordered the Shan noodles as well as some tea and coffee. We also decided to get one serving of the chicken soup with the naan. I'm not sure if it's normal to have chicken soup like that you can have a look at the photo to see if you know what I mean it was something that I hadn't really tasted ever before it was quite interesting. Good service and it's very fast as well.
