★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good value for the price. Nice big rooms with a lot of light. Bikes to rent. The staff will help with travel arrangements and recommendations for things to do. The roof patio is also nice. Close to center but quiet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite new and clean building but has similar features to old hotels (no lift, room keys, small bathrooms without showers).
Feels a bit micro-managed and strict about everything. 11 (or noon?) checkout time is enforced even with low occupancy. They won't rent motorbikes to foreigners with a license (but will rent to a local without a license ?). You have to pre-select what you want for breakfast the day before. This is very different from other Golden Guest hotels I've stayed at before.
I wouldn't advise using them to book transportation because it's better to go to the taxi stand on the road (there was a bus available earlier than the hotel had told me; you can get in shared taxis for cheaper than hotel-arranged). The hotel's guidance for local sightseeing and restaurants was mostly unhelpful.
I think they're nice and trying their best, but if you want a relaxed holiday and you can self-managed then I'd stay somewhere more chill.
