★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We rented 2 bikes, one male, one female for 5.000 kyat, both bikes were in good condition and the owner was super helpful and nice! We can recommend this service, just watch out in the streets, the traffic is pretty crazyyy! ?

He even provided a recommended cycling route. The phone number showed in Google is correct, you could call if the gate is not open.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brilliant bicycle rental. Extremely friendly owner who speaks fluent English. He is very helpful, honest, interesting to chat to and offers good suggestions of what to do/ where to go.
I can't recommend him enough. If you want to rent a bike (and I think it's the best way to get around Mandalay), go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historically, Mandalay was the very popular cycling city in Myanmar. Past decades of industry changes in China took effects on Myanmar transportation. Now Mandalay is overwhelm with motorbikes/scooters and bicycles are almost seen as non-existed. Obviously CO2 emission and pollution has risen yearly with the increasing motor vehicles.
I feel Mandalay and cycling, cycling and Mandalay should not be separated. Our roads are wide enough for different types of road users. With proper road system, regulations and promotions, Mandalay can be back to the top cycling city in Myanmar. Most of the attractions in Mandalay are within reach by bicycle and I would support all kind of cycling in Mandalay. Honey Home Bikes is one of them.*****
