★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locationwise it isn't the most accessible and "visitor friendly", but they have a laid back charm all their own.
The place is air-conditioned AND allow smoking indoors..go figure. Though i must say it didn't smell of a dingy bar at all.
Decor is interesting, with a slightly confused touch. They have modern art and sculpture like stuff elegantly displayed..but then on the buffet table (which was closed for the evening) they have a strange array of umbrellas.. ?
Overall, the food was okay. They take their time to prepare whatever you've ordered almost to the point that one forgets what they had ordered initially. So don't expect quick service or a meal on the go..
Beer is affordablly priced. So thumbs up for that..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good budget hotel. Recently the new Retro Bar provided nice English lives music during the weekends. The hotel has very nice look to it and the lobby area looks very welcoming. The bathroom facilities are basic but I would have no hesitation staying here again if I wanted somewhere cheap just for a few nights.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly environment with nice Sri Lankan food. Feel homely because of the way the staff treats you. The best thing is the 15minutes free head massage. Breakfast included with a variety of food. I would definitely recommend this place and this is my second visit to the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant review only: Had a great tasting tom yam kung here. Nice clean place with lovely ambiance. Prices are reasonable and definitely worth another visit.
They also have a wonderful breakfast buffet with enough selection for both asian and western tastes. I sampled the fish and chicken curries which were delicious. The egg bar makes great omelettes and scrambled eggs (but all egg styles are possible). Fresh fruit, toast, cereals and unlimited juice, coffee or tea are also available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most arrogant and no flexibility at all in terms of everything in service. Been stay at the hotel more then 3 times only reason is they have 24hrs room service and availability of smoking room. Otherwise won’t bother to choose the hotel( I won’t probably not to go again). Base on my experience, is anyone imagine
-not allowing more then 15minute to have visitor (Do not think other way around)
-whatever you asked for extra e.g.pillow or blanket need to pay extra charges
-at this time of situation or even normal before 5 stars hotel are not even asking a guest to pay early check in charges. I know this is debatable because is subject to availability. But regular guest no one asked to pay early check in if the room are available.
-collecting the % if you use to pay with your credit card (%are depending what type of card you used)
Seem like they don’t even know the meaning of custom service in the hotel industries. If they could acknowledge the meaning of SERVICE would be great.
