Hotel Best House (Dawei)

One of the latest arrivals in Dawei. It's beautiful and clean vertu close to the road. Very affordable and Staffs are super friendly and nice. Breakfast is quite good. It's still very new so you might want to enjoy the newness when you're in town soon. It's popular among drivers at the airport so don't worry about how to get there incase your phone goes off

Just a normal hotel.. Big room but blanket are just normal not hotel type.. Reception stuff not so nice when we are in quaratine we have to receive item from outside if so many times reception stuff don't wanna send item to our room. We can't take our item at downstair. So just 2 stars for hotel.

Highly recommended!! 1. Very new hotel, only 6 months old. 2. Front desk understand and speak English. 3. Big room, Clean, strong aircon. Huge toilet, rain shower, stable water temperature and pressure. 4. No safe, but there is a Cupboard with keys lock, mini fridge and 2/3 socket at bed side(no need traveling plug) 5. Hotel with lift, personnal car parking on site. 6. Hotel provides laundry service at affordable rate. 7. Toiletries and towel nicely packed. 8. Convenient store within 3 minutes walk. 1. I arrived very early in the morning (11/2/2019)and were extremely exhausted and hungry after 18 hours coach ride. I wanted to order something for breakfast and asked front desk for breakfast menu but they as buffet breakfast were prepared only for guests. Hence i told the front desk it is ok to charge me for breakfast however the hotel owner said i can have it for free. She even got me 2nd serving for the delicious Mohinga. Shortly after the breakfast, my room was ready. 3. The young guy who helped me with my luggage actually refused to accept tip. 4. I believe they do read guest’s requests as i stated prefer quiet room and somehow i got a corner room. Will definitely stay here again next time.

Very professional staff, clean, large rooms, good breakfast, ready help with arranging taxis. I would definitely stay here again. Like most Myanmar hotels, the beds lack a top sheet, so you finding the right temperature with the thick blankets can be difficult.

Nice and comfy hotel, but the windows didn't open. The matriarch runs a very tight ship indeed. It would be nice if they could take out the phrase "breakfast has vegetarian priority" out of the guest book in the rooms because much of it is with fish, shrimp, ngapi, and other seafood things (not even mentioning the meat). It's best to ask the staff and other guests what's safe to eat and what isn't every single day as the menu changes. They can get you a rental scooter for 1.5 days for 15.000 MKK (January 2020) which is the best way to see the Dawei peninsula.

This is a nice hotel in Dawei that’s family owned and run. The staff are very friendly and the manager is helpful as well as very knowledgeable. They offer tours on sight to the nearby beaches and islands. The rooms are comfortable and you have toiletries you normally wouldn’t get at other hotels without asking for them. The bathrooms are ok but need some hard scrubbing on the grouting to get rid of mildew and scum.

This hotel is not far from Tavoy airport only just drive 15 minute. Most of local people enjoy this hotel. The room are mostly convenience and the fare quite reasonable. May be foreigner will be satisfied. So you can visit Maung magan beach, they can arrange for you.

The Hotel Best House is the one among the locally smart hotels in Burma/ Myanmar with four stories building and comparatively large rooms. The owners are managing the hotel and this may be helpful to the travelers finding and exploring around. Its location in a Dawei downtown street adjacent to main street give quite sense to the guest. As the hotel is facing to east, if you would like to stay in the room in daytime, avoid lodging at the front rooms with glass facades.
