★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shwe Gone Dain Hotel is located in the heart of Yangon, a few hundred meters from the famous and beautiful Shwedagon Pagoda. There is actually an omelette counter so you can have you eggs done in any way but I did not see any eggs swimming in grease. Staff were nice but shy perhaps because of language barrier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went this hotel many times long ago. This hotel’s services are very good for the prices. Restaurant (for the breakfast, lunch and dinner) are also fare good. Generally clean and large area for around the hotel.

Edit: just had a positive experience with Tapanyu - a spectacled boy who is the only reason I have changed my rating to 3 stars. Promote him. Put him incharge of things. He has the right attitude

Were sitting at the restaurant past midnight
Very clean and hygiene well maintained
Room service won't take even a minute to reach your room

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s maybe my third or fourth time stay in this hotel, a little bit far from the downtown, but there is a ocean super market nearby with some restaurants inside. The service was quite good and room was really cleaned and relaxing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having stayed at various locations in Yangon, I can say this hotel is very centrally located. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay in the hotel. There is drilling and construction from 10-5pm every day and note it usually goes on till 7pm plus despite the letter from the ***ager.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here for 2 nights earlier this month. At the recommendation of my local counterpart, I stayed. In fact you can walk to just about anything you need within a few blocks. The amenities were in good condition. All the members of staff to be really polite and considerate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff of this hotel was the friendliest and most helpful. The location of the hotel is relatively convenient. Prices are very high and there are bad surprises. The WIFI provided is pretty bad. Don't expect to work at night because the lighting is impossible. The room was laid out nicely.
