★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a peaceful and tranquil Buddhist monastery located in a gully on Mingyi Hill. The gully is just beside down the old colonial villa which is also widely known as Tapyithu-Ma-Shwe-Htar Villa. It is said that there was an old tennis court of old colonial villa there before this monastery was built in around 1988. The Bay-Dar-Yee Cave of the famous myth of the young women Bay-Dar-Yee is in the compound of monastery though it is just a very small cave which can be usually seen in most of the pagodas. In my childhood, I frequently went there with my parents and relatives for taking sabbath as Buddhists. After lunch, we, children, went around the Mingyi Hill and it was a very happy and memorable time. Nostalgia ! :)
