I arrived there in the afternoon. Its design is like building on two birds carrying an important palace or like on two boats. It is a restaurant inside. Staff wore traditional costumes and friendly. In the sky or tree there were lors of crows (black birds singing). Nice experience.

Great restaurant! Went here for official dinner and love the food, the performance, and the setting. The restaurant is spacious and the food being served are all yummy. It is good to try some of the traditional Shan food here. They give you clear food label so you know what you are eating. And the performance is lovely! They have various kinds of traditional dances, complete with amazing properties and incredible costumes. Visitors can join the dancing and they will teach some basic moves. In one corner you will have one person doing live cooking and helping you serving with the food. I also saw cool powder that Myanmarese ladies are using to cool dow and you can try it as well. All in all it's a wonderful experience indeed

Karaweik "Palace" is not a historic site. It was finished in 1974 and it's an eye-catching but quite kitschy construction that houses a showy, snobbish and overpriced restaurant. And the worst of all, you must pay a ridiculous entrance fee to get inside. An entrance fee for a restaurant! What a nonsense! According to the owner's response to some other review the entrance fee is for the garden, not for the restaurant. But nobody informs you about that. And even if it were true, the fee should be deducted from your bill if you eat at the restaurant.

Wonderful performances, delicious food, and such friendly staff. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be a great way to spend my first night in Yangon and Myanmar. I didn't know much about Myanmarese culture before so what I saw, heard, and ate was a surprise to me and quite different from the rest of my experiences travelling in Southeast Asia so far.

A good place to get your cultural fix in Yangon while having a meal. Dinner and performance in one. Pricing wise is quite high for local standards but decent for international standards. The setting, performances, decor, staff, clothing, and other items were very interesting. The food had some local elements but is more international themed. We found the quality of the food to not be high but passable. Everything else mentioned made it worth the trip and price still so all in all it was a good experience.

A wonderful dining and cultural experience. Located in the gardens on the edge of royal lake this building literally stands out! It not some old ancient building but a fairly recent build (1970’s) - but it is an experience and very photo worthy. As you enter the gardens there is a fee but if you tell them you are going to the restaurant and write your name down then entry is complimentary. You will take your time entering the building as there are many photo opportunities of the building and the many dressed up people there to meet you. The food is an eclectic mix of local and some international dishes - the buffet is good and see to be good hygiene wise - no one in our group had any problems. Many dishes cooked in front of you and and you can add all the accompaniments The service is good and drinK selection is ok The cultural show was interesting- but was very hard to hear the MC and so we had little context of what was going on - but it was interesting to watch. Go for a cultural and culinary experience while in Yangon - it’s worth it!

Good food and instammagrable place! If you love great pictures with the gang, visit it during daytime. There's also a room where you can ask a lady to apply some thanaka in your face (it's their local sunscreen). The puppet show was entertaining.. Myanmar has a very rich culture indeed! The staff were also very nice and smiles a lot☀️

It has been one of the best experiences dinning Myanmar cuisines. Only one and best place offering Myanmar cuisines buffet with entertainment in Town. But unfortunately, this place was closed for a while due to COVID-19 pendamic. If they are opened back, we will visit again without fail. I would like to recommend this place to foreigners to try on their visit in Yangon. You will definitely love this place.
