You must chase after them to get any info about passport stuff (done in Bangkok, for some reason).
Written instructions to give back my voided passport were ignored; they took away my Myanmar visa+permit and gave me a photocopy. The Immigration officers were bemused and it took several hours of waiting and begging to get the visa replaced (understandably so, because all I had was a photocopy and a letter written in English).
For passport they recommended I use a courier that cost 83,000 to send to Bangkok in 2 days yet they didn't notify me of the completion for 14 days after it was done.
