★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a bit unusual for me to have the highest rating of a place, but I guess it has to happen sometimes. Anyway, after turning off the highway and coming up the road you get to the covered walkway that leads to the pagoda proper. I was there before 8am which is apparently earlier than most of the stalls under the walkway open, which was nice because it meant I wasn't solicited or stared at like "what is this foreigner doing here?" The feel of the pagoda is very much like it truly belongs to the neighborhood, and isn't trying to entice large crowds to come here. I really liked that about this place; very genuine and down to earth.
