★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived there around 5.45pm of Sunday. Myanmare people started gathering and sharing food. I came there with friends and I was also provided with meals, very hygienic and delicious. Slowly, more and more people came. The pagoda organizes similar events two times per week on Wednesday and Sunday to share food, make donations and jointly learn buddha's teaching. Around 6.45pm all space around the pagoda was filled and most people were with Buddhist reading books on hands. All together they start reading sounding like singing without any monks instruction. Their voices were loude and nice. I was deeply nice to hear! They were seious and respectful of the sacred place. They sat patiently without changing or rarely changing their sitting positions during which I had changed many times. The reading lasted until around 7.30pm and after that the people do meditations for another 30mn. I think it is a good practice to share meals, discuss issues and learn buddha's teaching together. Not sure if other pagoda in Myanmar do the same. I think that Myanmar buddhists follows buddha teaching strictly.
