★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very peaceful spiritual ambience with clean and roomy temple. Built by the famous hermit of Mandalay hill hermit U Khanti in 1917. Partially destroyed by bombing in WWII. Reconstruction was completed in 1947. Local pilgrims regularly come here to say Buddhist prayers and meditate. The Buddha image is a very beautiful copy of the famous Maha Muni Buddha of Mandalay.
