★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrival, immigration, baggage delivery and customs very normal and efficient. ATM machines on left as you enter arrivals hall. I liked it because no one hassles you for "taxi, taxi,etc. " I bought shuttle bus tickets k4000 at the Tourist Information desk. The lady was very helpful and proactive to sell me the boat ticket to Bagan too. Easy! Bus to city was great, leaving when full, but dropped every passenger outside their hotel! Such service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a domestic flight at 6 pm. We were already at 340 pm in the airport. We couldn’t go to check in our luggage. We had to wait until 430 pm , at 430 they said we had to wait again 15 minutes more. Yes that make sense
You can also change euro to Kyat but the rate was not good. 01/01/2020 rate : 1610

( Asaw travel )
-located on outskirt of Mandalay city, about 1 hr drive. ( tip: Best to travel by Highway buses than Airplane, lower cost and bus station within the city area )
-Arrival: exchange services, tele sim cards, Car rental, ferry and taxi services (take a look at the photos)
-Departure: Exchange services, F&B shops, souvenirs shops and duty free shops.
(Tips- make sure to get the myanmar snacks at MMK myint myint khin shop)
-Wifi - slow available.
-well maintained

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Better to take taxi or rental shuttle to get here. It’s a clean and quiet small airport with few cafe shops and souvenir stores. The flight schedule on the monitor was not real time and disordered. Please notice all the time.

We can make booking in Flymya.com at anytime for where we want to fly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Due to covid 19 almost all restaurants and stores including duty free shops are closed. As stated by the MOHS and websites from respective airlines, before entering you would need a covid test within the last 72 hours. After entering you would need to pass through security and then check in gates. The man at the check in counter for Myanmar national airlines was not friendly at all. Additionally we would have to fill a health form stating our travel history due to covid 19. Afterwards you need to pass through security again and then immigration. Only then you will be able to wait at the boarding gate. Small airport so isn't as good as Yangon airport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small International Airport. After you pass through the immigration, you can find directly the money changers, travel agencies, and ATM machines. Not much food options in the arrival area. If you are to exchange money, make sure you bring US dollars that has no markings, latest series, etc. as they will check it and will not accept if it does not pass their standard. Otherwise, opt to withdraw using your ATM card. As this is located far from the city area, we hired a car service going to our hotel.
