မိုးယြန္းႀကီးအင္း(သို႔မဟုတ္)ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ၏ ပထမဆံုးေသာ RAMSAR ေရတိမ္ေဒသ ေရတိမ္ေဒသဆိုသည္မွာ အဘယ္နည္း? ေရတိမ္ေဒသဆိုသည္မွာ စိမ့္ေျမ၊ရႊံ့ႏြံ၊လဟာျပင္၊ကိုင္းေတာ အပါအဝင္ ျမစ္၊ေခ်ာင္း၊အင္းအိုင္၊ေရခ်ိဳ၊ေရငံ၊ေရေသ၊ေရရွင္ေဒသမ်ား၊သဘာဝ(သို႔မဟုတ္)လူတို႔ျပဳလုပ္ထားေသာ ဆည္ေျမာင္း၊ေရကန္မ်ား၊ဒီေရေတာမ်ား၊ဒီေရက်ခ်ိန္တြင္ (၁၈)ေပထက္ မနက္ေသာ ပင္လယ္ ေရတိမ္ေဒသမ်ား အာလံုးကို လႊမ္းျခံဳ၍ ေခၚဆိုပါသည္။အဓိကအားျဖင့္ Inland Wetlandနဲ႔ Coastal Wetland ဟူ၍ ႏွစ္မ်ိဳး မွတ္ယူႏိုင္ပါသည္။ RAMSAR ဆိုသည္မွာ အဘယ္နည္း? RAMSAR ဆိုသည္မွာ ကမာၻေပၚရွိ ေရတိမ္ေဒသမ်ား ဆံုးရႈံးလာျခင္းႏွင့္ ထိုေရတိမ္ေဒသမ်ားတြင္ က်က္စားၾကေသာ ေရေပ်ာ္ငွက္မ်ား၊ေရေနသတၱဝါမ်ား၊ အျခားေသာတိရစာၦန္မ်ားႏွင့္ ၎တို႔၏ စားက်က္ေျမမ်ား မဆံုးရႈံးေစရန္ ႏိုင္ငံအသီးသီးမွ အစိုးရႏွင့္ အစိုးရမဟုတ္ေသာအဖြဲ႕မ်ားက ၁၉၇၁ခုနစ္တြင္ အီရန္ႏိုင္ငံ၊ရမ္ဆာၿမိဳ႕တြင္ သေဘာတူျပဌာန္း ခ်ဳပ္ဆိုခဲ့ၿပီး ၁၉၇၅ခုနစ္တြင္ စတင္အသက္ဝင္ အေကာင္အထည္ေဖာ္ေဆာင္ရြက္ခဲ့ၾကသည္။ RAMSAR CONVENTION ကို ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ အပါအဝင္ အဖြဲ႕ဝင္ႏိုင္ငံေပါင္း ၁၆၈ႏိုင္ငံက လက္မွတ္ေရးထိုးခဲ့ၾကသည္။ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံတြင္ ယခုအခ်ိန္ထိ မိုးယြန္းႀကီးအင္း၊မိန္းမလွကၽြန္း၊အင္းေတာ္ႀကီးႏွင္ မုတၱမပင္လယ္ေကြ႕ဟူ၍ RAMSAR SITES ေလးခု သတ္မွတ္ႏိုင္ခဲ့ၿပီ ျဖစ္သည္။ မိုးယြန္းႀကီးအင္း ေဘးမဲ့ေတာကို ၁၉၈၈ခုနစ္တြင္ စတင္တည္ေထာင္ခဲ့ၿပီး ၂၀၀၄ခုနစ္တြင္ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ၏ ပထမဆံုးေသာ RAMSAR SITE အျဖစ္ သတ္မွတ္ျခင္းခံရသည္။မိုးယြန္းႀကီးအင္းမွာ လူတို႔ျပဳလုပ္ထားေသာ ေရတိမ္ေဒသမ်ားမွ တစ္ခုပင္ျဖစ္သည္။မိုးယြန္းႀကီးအင္းသည္ ရန္ကုန္ၿမိဳ႕မွ ၆၉.၂မိုင္ အကြာ ပဲခူးၿမိဳ႕ႏွင့္ ေဝါၿမိဳ႕အၾကားတြင္ တည္ရွိသည္။ဧရိယာအားျဖင့္ (၄၀)စတုရန္းမိုင္ က်ယ္ဝန္းသည္။ ပဲခူး႐ိုးမႀကီး၏ အေရွ႕ဖက္ ေျမနိမ့္ေဒသတြင္ရွိေသာ ေရတိမ္ေဒသ ျဖစ္သည္။မိုးရာသီတြင္ မိုးေရမ်ားသည္ ေခ်ာင္းငယ္ ေျမာင္းငယ္ အသြယ္သြယ္မွ မိုးယြန္းႀကီးအင္းထဲသို႔ စီးဝင္သည္။ မိုးယြန္းႀကီးအင္းတြင္ အပင္မ်ိဳးစိတ္ေပါင္း ၄၉မ်ိဳးႏွင့္ တိရစာၦန္မ်ိဳးစိတ္ေပါင္း ၂၃၃မ်ဳိး က်က္စားေနထိုင္ေၾကာင္း သိရွိရသည္။ ႏွစ္စဥ္အားျဖင့္ ငွက္အမ်ိဳးအစားေပါင္း ၁၅၅မ်ိဳး က်က္စားေနထိုင္ၿပီး ၉၀မွာ ေဒသမ်ဳိးရင္းျဖစ္ၿပီး ၆၅မ်ဳိးမွာ အျခားေဒသမွ ငွက္မ်ဳိးစိတ္မ်ား ျဖစ္ၾကသည္။မိုးယြန္းႀကီးအင္းတြင္ ကမာ႓ေပၚတြင္ မ်ိဳးသုဥ္းေပ်ာက္ကြယ္ရန္ အၿခိမ္းေျခာက္ခံေနရေသာ Baer's Pochard Aythya baeri,Sarus Crane Grus antigone ႏွင့္ Greater Spotted Eagle Aquila clanga မ်ိဳးစိတ္မ်ားလည္း က်က္စားေနထိုင္လ်က္ရွိေၾကာင္း သိရွိရပါသည္။သဘာဝပတ္ဝန္းက်င္ႏွင့္ ေဂဟစနစ္၊အပင္၊တိရစာၦန္ႏွင့္ ထိန္းသိမ္းေရးေတာမ်ား ေဘးမဲ့ေတာမ်ား အေၾကာင္း ရွင္းျပေပးပါေသာ ဆရာႀကီး ေဒါက္တာသိန္းေအာင္ကို အစဥ္ေလးစား ေက်းဇူးတင္ရွိပါသည္။

Moeyungyi Wetland Wildlife Sanctuary Currently Myanmar's only Ramsar Site,Moeyungyi Wetland Wildlife Sanctuary(MWWS) cover an area of 40 sq.mile and is located around an artificial lake constructed in 1904, at Bago and Waw Townships in the Bago Region.The lake was created by the construction of the dyke to the north, east and south of the site. A main road is found to the west. The surrounding area is mostly flat, becomes flooded during the rainy season and is dry during summer, although some permanent water bodies exist. Objectives - To promote accumulative assessment and measures for effective conservation and management on wetlands -To establish intensive management system of the sanctuary by upgrading Wetland Management Unit -To review the Annuai Work Plan of MWWS and develop the guidelines for effective wetlands conservation and management to ensure long term sustainability of Myanmar's Wetlands -To strengthen law enforcement in order to insure the sustainable conservation of the MWWS Livelihood of local people There are 17 villages in the area, 9 of which are very close to the wetland. The inhabitant of these villages mainly rely on rice cultivation for their livelihoods, although some villages that are very close to the wetland rely on fishing and dusk farming to lesser degree. Over 50,000 local people are residing and mainly relying on growing paddy and fishing.MWWS is serving as a grazing ground for their cattle and ducks.
