★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place it's a bit dark and sandy. However no worries, the staff are very helpful. No English notice board or guidance during posting time. So you have to asked any one of the staff so they could direct you to the correct counter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A spartan facility but there's a specific spot for foreigners to go to buy tickets to bagan which is well marked once you enter. The employee who helped us spoke excellent English and was very nice. The train from yangon to bagan was 16500 kyat when we bought it the day before. The prices we were seeing online through vendors were over 30 dollars.

This booking office is only for advanced purchases, same-day tickets are to be sold at the central station, across the bridge, approximately 10 minutes walk from here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is for buying upper class tickets in advanced. Remember to bring the identity card for buying railway ticket. One person can buy only 3 tickets with their identity cards. I felt consusing for the first time using due to information given there are inadequate. Opening time is from 7:00 pm until 3pm everyday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ticket office opens between 7am-3pm. Bagan ticket counter is No. 12. It is the last counter as you walk in from main road. Ticket sales starts 3 days before departure. In our case all seats (sleeper & sitting) to Bagan were sold out 3 days before our wanted ride. So be warned, book your ticket at 7am, 3 days before traveling. Otherwise, it's going to be the bus or plane to Bagan. Good luck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit complex since u have to buy ticket on different sides of the station depending on which way u're heading, but once u find the right place the staff is super friendly and helpful people! Just keep an extra eye open when the taxi drivers approach u, be clear with what u want

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a window here where you can buy train tickets but you have to be them three days in advance. If you walk in, someone will likely come up to you and offer to take you to their travel agency to book tickets, but you don't have to go with them.
