These guys are great! I did an open water course with no previous knowledge, and was a bit apprehensive. They guided me from fear to confidence, and by the last dive breathing and gliding underwater felt natural. James even saw me after the course was finished to solve some doubts I still had. Shout out to the fab instructor Andy and to lovely Sin that was very supportive too!

We decided to make the two days Scuba Diver Course with James from Myanmar Diving Academy. James has over 20 years experience of diving and infected us with his passion for diving. He is building up his business since November 2019 so the equpiment is really good and completly new. We also liked that we were in a small group of three people so it was like a private course with enough time to ask everything. We had an amazing time with James. His Partner was very Kind and Helpful while we were preparing our equipments before the dive. I felt comfortable immediately after listening to his instructions before the dives. And had an amazing experiences during the dives. The diving equipment were BRAND NEW and I feel really happy about that too. If you are in Ngapali and want to dive, James is THE Man. Highly recommend his place. We had an amazing experience diving with Myanmar Diving Academy when we were in Myanmar! James and Sin were truly incredible and taught us so much about the underwater life in Myanmar. I am still a hesitant diver and was a bit nervous as this was only my 3rd dive after completing my open water, but James put my mind at ease from the moment I met him. His extensive scuba experience and his passion for Marine biology were such an added bonus to our experience. Not to mention his equipment was the best I have ever seen, brand new, clean and it was apparent safety was his number 1. While diving he was so attentive to each one of us, and went at the perfect pace so that we can truly enjoy the beauties of the underwater life. He reignited my love from scuba and I am grateful to him for such an unforgettable experience! We can't recommend Myanmar Diving Academy enough for anyone interested in exploring the beauties of Myanmar's underwater life.

Today we went on a diving trip with James - and it was a great experience! James and his wife gave us a very warm welcome. James is an old hand when it comes to diving - he’s been “under water” for decades and surprisingly hasn’t grown any fins yet! ;)) The diving equipment was brandnew and state of the art. The dives were a very pleasant experience - we highly recommend diving with Myanmar Dive Academy and we appreciate James” commitment to marine conservation. It you visit Ngapali Beach, give yourself a treat and dive with James!

The diving experience with James was great. My husband did his paddy open water license with him and I got a refresher. We both felt very safe under his professional and clear guidance. The training was also well structured, clear and fun. We dived from the beach but James also took us out with his boat to nice diving spots. He and his crew knew the area very well. His wife also helped us with the preparation for the dives and even lend me her fins because they fit me best. We had a great time and can definitely recommend diving with James! We both will come back next year for more dive fun and adventure in Myanmar!

We went for a drive with James. It went great! He took time to explain us exactly what we would expect, he even insisted on meeting the day before to setup our equipment so we wouldn't lose anytime before diving on the next day. He is very patient and will make you feel safe while giving you all the information you want on the different kind of underwater life you get to see during the dive. He takes pictures of both the fishes, corals and the divers as you can see from his facebook page. A conservation specialist, he is also raising awareness among both tourists and locals on sustainable practices. He just opened his diving center on Ngapali beach, we highly recommend you give it a try if you're staying nearby!
