★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ngwe Taung(Sliver Mountain), It is around 2000 feet high and second highest mountain in Maungdaw area. There are some Pagoda and Buddha status. We can see the mountain from the Maungdaw downtown. Only you can go in dry season to the mountain. First you need to go to the Ngwe Taung village by motorbike, car or even walking or by bicycle. Their is a Off Road beside the Ngwe Taung village monastery it use by dump trucks for carrying hard rocks form the stone mine. After off road you will follow the dry stream 90 minutes along the stream you will find beautiful rocks and sign drawn on the rock later you will find a sign for mountain road. Start climbing to the mountain. It's take around one hour and twenty minutes to get to the mountain top. On the top you can see Maungdaw town with Naff river and on the other side you will see Buthidaung with May Yu river.
