Great supermarket where you can find fresh produce, packaged food, and hot meals on the first floor. The second floor sells household goods and clothing such as electronics, stationary, bedding, cabinets, dishes, kitchenware, women's and men's clothing, makeup, umbrellas, plants, tools, lights, etc.

Three stories building of shopping mall where you can find commodities, clothes, cosmetics and a wide range of snacks. Third floor is recently renovated and there are some restaurant including Lotteria. At the ground floor, you can find a coffee shop offering coffee and bakery. You can also find furniture and electronic gadgets. However, you may not find latest or best products.

I would give Ocean Supercenter five stars for everything, except that one unfortunate marketing issue renders all their good services for nothing. First positives: I love the convenience of shopping for many needs under one roof - food, household items, clothes and electronics. Granted that fruit and vegetables may be more expensive, but the quality and variety - as of everything - is good, including foreign and local products. Using card payment is a bonus when it's difficult to easily access cash. The staff are always helpful and polite. City Care pharmacist and Seasons Bakery are at the entrance. There's always taxis outside waiting to take you if you don't like walking, are overloaded or it's pouring with rain. Now the negative... My photos tell all. When I asked a member of staff why there was a pink Kinder egg for girls and a blue one for boys, she explained it was because the pink one contained girls toys and the blue one had boys toys. She didn't seem to understand these were stereotypes. A senior staff supervisor was called. She also seemed puzzled at my concern. Eventually, after a long conversation, the supervisor half-agreed with me, but justified it by saying parents (customers) demand and expect this. I asked her if a responsible company should follow all parents' demands. I asked her to relay the issues to management. Sadly, a few months later, there had been no change. That's why, in my opinion, Ocean Supercenter deserves only one star. Why my concern? The connection between blue with boys and pink with girls is relatively recent - not natural or traditional. These rules began to emerge in the last quarter of the 20th century. Growth of marketing in the second half of the 20th century accelerated the process. Change is impeded by male dominance at the top of marketing and misogyny in society. Colour codes can also be seen in some children's clothes and book covers. Gender is an identity, not based on biological sex. Ocean is gendering colours and toys. Science studies with rigorous methodology find no stereotypical preferences in babies looking at objects or faces. Inside the blue Kinders you will find cars and robots but not in the pink ones. Likewise, dolls in the pink ones, not in the blue ones. Children learn through play, it prepares them for life. Toys and games carry huge social significance. Cars, robots, tools and guns are for boys. Dolls and babies for girls. Football, fishing, violence, competition for boys. It's reinforced by which games fathers join in with boys and which games mothers join in with girls. It reduces mixing. Very young children are aware of social expectations. There's pressure to conform to gender norms with serious social penalties for not - shame, bullying and devaluation. Girls are pushed into nursing, domestic, raising children and caring roles. It limits career choice and jobs for the future. Boys are nudged into science, engineering and technology. What proportion of women to men are professional engineers or computer coders? There's a link to passivity and aggressiveness, power and subordination and into to sexual violence. It affects men's romantic and sexual expectations. Think of: you're not a real man if you exhibit 'female traits', whereas aggression is rewarded. Gender equality in the workplace is affected. Ocean Supercenter is perpetuating insidious messages. For those who say, if boys want to buy pink they can buy pink, it's only technically correct in the way you can say men can wear dresses to work, if they want.
