★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Myawaddy Paauk Tawya monastery is a branch of the main Paauk Tawya monastery(Mawlamyine). Myawaddy Paauk monastery branch is near Myanmar-Thai border river called Thaungyin river. It is outside Myawaddy township and situated on the rather high hill, so cooler than Myawaddy. The view of mountains, hills, river and forest is surprisingly beautiful.
Moreover, if one wants to know and see the real method of Buddha's teaching about samatha and vipassană systematically, he/she must go to Paauk and must learn systematically and with heart and patience. If one wants Nibbănă, one has to know and see materiality and mentality, and their cause and effect called dependent origination of past, present and future lives as they really are. To know and see things as they really are, one has to develop the strong and powerful concentration up to Jhănas. Here, in Paauk, one has to develop concentration systematically up to jhăna as in Visuddhimagga, which ,indeed, is Our Buddha's teaching only.
