There is also an arranged photo opportunity and a English speaking shop associate to explain the history of the neck rings the women wear. They also have a mock set for visitors to try on in order to experience the weight of the brass rings. Among the items available for purchase are scarves made from local lotus silk. Expect to pay very high prices for lotus silk items as it is a painstaking process to produce them.
