This is a quiet and peaceful place on the hills with a beautiful scenery where it is quite proper for any one who is seeking and taking a quiet meditation retreat or a country-dwelling seclusion, either locals or foreigners. There is a monastery here where a 71-year old monk is residing in a country-dwelling ascetic life. He hosts and gives accommodation to the visitors who frquently visits here and wishes to take a meditation retreat or a seclusion life. This monastery opens Ledi-tradition (Burmese-spoken) meditation courses (7 or 10 day courses) frequently, during or after the Rain Retreat Months (approximately from July to September/October), and during the Myanmar New Year period. The Residing Monk's trustee board is planning to organize Buddhist studies courses such as Pali-English studies, Eastern Studies, etc., for the monks and the Ledi-tradition meditation courses in English language both for the monks and lay-people meditators (local and foreigners).
