It is the foremost pagoda in Shwe Kyin Township and well known in the whole Myanmar. It is located on the bank of Shwe Kyin river and can go easily because Shwe Kyin entrance road is leading to the pagoda.
Now it is been holding the 168 times pagoda festival (2019, October 14th).
In the pagoda festival, the competition of dancing on the decorated boats — the dancing groups represented many wards and villages around Shwe Kyin city —and floating lighted lotus lanlerns along the Shwe Kyin River include. It is usually held on the day after the full moon day of Thidinkyut according to the Myanmar calender ( usually in October).
