Samanea Yangon Market

It seems to be the biggest wholesale market in Yangon so far. But recently it is just launching phase one, and many shops are needed to open. The prices are really cheap due to lots of discounts in launching period.

Very very spacious... this is 2022 this will be busy and crowded by 2024..

I believe this place will be a great bargain in the future.And the price is very cheap, clean and safe.

Intended to be whole sale market but it's very few shops for now.

A good place to combine wholesale and retail

Nothing much there yet. Just a few shops scattered all over the market. Compose of 15 rolls/corridors which they call them streets. Each street has 24 shops on each side totalling 48 shops on each street. Apart from main entrance, the entrance hallways have no insulation and air conditioning but uses natural lighting from the roof so it's quite bright whereas the streets are ducted above so there is no natural light. There was a blackout when I was there and the backup generators kick in only after about 4 minutes. The streets and shops went completely dark even though it is day time during the blackout. There are 6 zones from A to F. Zone A - Industrial Equipments, Tools, Hardware and Building Materials, Automobile Accessories, etc. Zone B - Daily Necessities Zone C - Bags, Jewelery, Clothes, Cosmetics, etc. Zone D - Digital, Mobile and Home Appliances, Office Supplies and Rain Gear Zone E - Hotel and Kitchen Dinnerware Zone F - Crafts, Textile and Bedding The main entrance is huge and nice. With CNC cut decorations and signs. But weakly assembled. I suggest you not go near or touch them as they aren't firmly attached to the wall. Oh... One other thing is they check your body temperature as a preventive measure for COVID-19 as you drive into the compound but the funny thing is they only check the driver and not others on the car.

Great wholesale mall and to connect with China suppliers directly

This place is looking located 30 to 45 minutes drive from downtown Yangon. Quite close to Yadanar HninSee and AyarChanTha Housing Projects. I went to this place using the route from South Oakklapa passing Golden Park building in North Dagon Township. A lot of trucks are using this route. I think the path leads all the way to Thilawa Industrial Zone in Thanlyin. Plenty hundreds of parking space available in the compound. It is built on very huge land. Ive seen alot of locals going to the place just for fun or take a walk. They converted part of the parking space to a night market when it falls in the evening. The building itself is also very huge with high ceilings to enable free air flow. I would say 90% of the shops are still closed. I saw some porcelain, electrical appliances, mobile, bed and mattress shops opening at this point. Prices are quite fair. I would recommend to go there just for an experience....
