★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 1825 on 1st April British troops launched rocket mortar from this Sedi's compound to General Mahar bandoola ,who was standing on the fortress with the glittering golden umbrella ,to boost his men for moral.Discarding his generals ' warning that he was an easy target for his enemy and was killed in this his last attack .He knew that he will be lose in the battle but instead of living with indignity ,death in the battle was better and was shown his fighting spirit and morale.
This place is not far away from Fortress .
