I have visited on 10 July 2022. The entrance fee for foreigner is MMK10,000 (SGD7.57)(USD5.39)(MYR23.87) per person!?
The amount may be small to others but it is unfair to have price difference between locals and foreigners.??
Afterall, Shwedagon Pagoda is about the same as other Pagodas in ??Myanmar, ??Thailand, ??Cambodia.

The golden pagoda honors Buddha and rises to a 98 meters height. Shwedagon Pagoda is the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar, as it is believed to contain relics of the four previous Buddhas of the present kalpa. These relics include the staff of Kakusandha, the water filter of Koṇāgamana, a piece of the robe of Kassapa, and eight strands of hair from the head of Gautama.
