၁၉၉၂ ခုနှစ် နိုဝင်ဘာလ ၁၆ ရက်နေ့တွင် မန္တလေးပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ်အဖြစ် မန္တလေးမြို့၌ စတင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့သည်။ ၂၀၀၀ ပြည့်နှစ် ဇွန်လ ၂၇ ရက်နေ့တွင် စစ်ကိုင်းပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ်အဖြစ် စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့၊ ပတ္တမြားရပ်ကွက် သို့ ပြောင်းရွှေ့ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့သည်။ကွင်းအမှတ် ၇၈၄ အကျယ်အဝန်း၁၃၂.၇၁ ဧကကျယ်ဝန်းသည်။ စစ်ကိုင်းပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ် (မန္တလေးဌာနခွဲ) ကို ၂၀၁၄ ခုနှစ်အထိ ထားရှိခဲ့သည်။ ၂၀၁၄ ခုနှစ် ဇွန်လတွင် စစ်ကိုင်းပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ်၏ အင်္ဂလိပ်အမည်ကို Institute မှ University သို့ ပြောင်းလဲပြင်ဆင်ခဲ့သည်။ ၂၀၁၄ ခုနှစ် ဇွန်လတွင် ရွှေမင်းဝံအလယ်တန်းကျောင်းကို စစ်ကိုင်းပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ် လေ့ကျင့်ရေးအထက်တန်းကျောင်းအဖြစ် တွဲဖက်သတ်မှတ်ပေးခဲ့သည်။

Sagaing Institute of Education (Mandalay Division) has been kept until 2014. In June 2014, the English name of Sagaing Education University was changed from Institute to University. In June 2014, Shwe Min Wan Secondary School was designated as Sagaing High School Training High School.
