★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large open air Buddha, looks pre-enlightenment due to emaciated physic. No entrance fee, clean and plenty of additional seated and standing statues as well. Surrounded by plants and large courtyard. Also lots of covered areas to rest. Near a main road. Reclining Buddha in the back of the complex.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very big Buddha statue. Totally skinny. There have lot of more statues. There have very big lying Buddhist statues. Lot of tourist come to see and took pictures. The big skinny Buddha statue can trace from lot far. The place very calm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to know about skinny buddha while exploring mandalay on google maps,i decided to visit this place because it was unique and i was not disappointed. The place was not crowded with visitors but there was a loud music being played in the background at the site which was a bit annoying.Worth visiting this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Skinny Buddha is a unique representation of Buddha as we never seen a skinny Buddha before on our travels. It is a relatively new statue having been built in 2011 and is presented in a classic sitting pose. Of all the Buddha statues that we seen around Mandalay, the Skinny Buddha statue certainly stands out

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not much in the way of a pagoda, but there are many outdoor statues of several Buddhas and other figures, some of theme rather unusual or even macabre. Central and dominating the site is the tall, emaciated sitting Buddah. A very unusual (unique?) statue of the Buddha, presumably when he was fasting during his search for enlightenment. There's also a reclining Buddah with such a calm, serene face. Note, that shoes and socks must be removed at the entrance gates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting 75foot seated emaciated Buddha known as the 'sitting Buddha' or 'skinny Buddha'. He's been around since 2011. The site is usually pretty quiet but foreign and local guests pop in and out regularly for a quick stroll. There are numerous statues, big and small.
I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit, but if you're around, stop by and pay this guy a visit.
