★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate at 3 places during our stay in Falam and this was definitely our favourite (we came here 3 times!). It's a family run restaurant, with simple, delicious chinese-myanmar food. They have a menu in English, speak basic English and are warm, friendly people. The dishes are large - we shared 1 main dish, and 2 plates of rice between the 2 of us. This came out at about 6000mmk. Try the kung-poa pork... It's extra tasty!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Run by a Chinese family, this place is open on Sundays and public holidays (unusually for Falam), from 7am. It's hidden in a small street behind the main road, but it has a nice view from the room. The portions are very generous and food is tasty. They used to make famous Chinese dumplings (paung si), but stopped as the granma is no longer able to. Hopefully she will teach the family and they resume this tradition!
