Really enjoyed Valentine Restaurant where one may taste and eat the Burmese way. Great food, very friendly staff!

DO NOT EAT HERE if you are white or a foreigner. Ripping off foreigners. Very expensive by Myanmar standards. Go along the main road and just buy the same food from the local food carts and restaurants. Help the honest local people.

Two of the dishes we got were passable, but not enjoyable. I ordered something without an English translation by pointing at a picture of what looked like a meat and noodle dish, but still hadn't gotten it even as my friends had almost finished their meals. When I asked if mine was still coming, they said "5 minutes", and after everyone else was totally done, I got a cold salad of jellied eggs, raw onions, and hot chili peppers that I only managed to choke down a few bites of and that looked nothing like the picture. I'm guessing they totally forgot my order and just threw together a different dish that they could make quickly since they didn't have to cook it.

One of the tea shops in this area. This one serves very good samosa and milk tea. The "you tiao" or dough sticks are decent. It's worth a try. Ask for the fried rice or beans on rice if you are feeling hungry. Items starts at 30 baht so they are very affordable. I always take my lunch or tea here whenever I do a visa run. People are honest and friendly. Ask for the English menu if you have a hard time figuring out the Burmese scripts. You are encouraged to go over to the counter and point at whatever interests you. The hygiene level is not the most optimal but to my knowledge, no-one has died from eating here...yet.

The food is good but I hope to get better Taste and drink. The Tea is not that strong and light for me compare with Thai Tea.

Noodles were surprisingly good! Grab a cold Myanmar beer before leaving the border.

Food was very good, and no sickness after 24 hours so far! We had mohinga soup (35 baht), tea with condensed milk (10?), some iced sweetened yogurt drink, and ate the samosas and potato fry things they left on our table. Beware though - they may over charge tourists. They don't seem to have a posted menu with prices. Somehow our order came to 200 baht. Maybe the small samosas are super expensive (relatively speaking)? Or maybe they miscalculated. I tried to go over it with them but wanted to head out so just paid it. It's about a five minute walk from the Myanmar border crossing.

Casual tea house that serves yummy snacks and decent coffee. Did not spot any foreigner around. Mainly locals having tea breaks and watching the day go by. Ordered their spring rolls and samosa. Crispy and generous with with fillings. The price is a huge plus. Definitely, drop in for a cuppa to take a break after shopping at the maze like day market.
