★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent an amazing week with Damon, Adam, Aung and U Pyae Son at the extraordinary Vihara Valley. If the "real Myanmar" still exists, it is surely here, tucked in this quiet valley along the Irrawaddy, where life goes on much as it had for the thousands of years before industrialization. Anyone going to the sites in Bagan should add Vihara onto their itinerary. Spend a few nights enjoying the peace and solitude of the valley and eat the amazing organic food grown on the Vihara land. Take a tour of the permaculture farm, the only one of its kind in Myanmar. Deepen your meditation practice on retreat. Or, best yet, don't do anything. Just sit still. Whatever you do, you won't be disappointed at Vihara.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great place! The farm is situated in a beautiful valley, a fresh breeze from the river and a lot of nice shaded places make it very easy to relax. I could spend hours just sitting there and enjoying the view over the wonderful and well organized farm. By the way, we learned a lot from Adam as he has experience in sustainable and organic farming methods and knows the area very well. I will definitely come back. See you soon Adam :-)
