I went 3 times for dinner because of the proximity to the hotel. The place is not pretty nor does it have any charm. The owner is very nice and so are the girls who work with her. My favorite dish is the chicken, I think it was grilled with spices, exquisite. The rest of the dishes I tried normal. Good price

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Chinese restaurant has no English signboard. You could recognize it by the moderate size charcoal pit in front of the restaurant for its grilled chicken.
However it serves up delicious Yunnan food. I have tried a number of dishes. All very yummy. I particularly like the lemon fish which is modified from a Thai dish.
The charcoal grilled chicken is worth a try. These chicken are free from hormone injection. It's not as oily as those sold elsewhere.
It takes 1 hour to grill a chicken so drop in at a time they are grilling many. You can order one and sit down with a ice cold beer if you don't want other dishes or order half a chicken to try if you don't want to take risk, just like what I did.
The pan-fried dumplings is also worth trying.
This restaurant could customize to my low salt requirement as my blood pressure is especially sensitive to salt. If you want to try Yunann food and yet worry about spiciness and oiliness, I recommend you try this restaurant.
The owner had his university education in Taiwan and worked there for a brief period. He came back to start his family and business.
The restaurant has free wi-fi and a section for those who want to dine in aircon comfort.
