A few hundred meters from my accommodation is Zay Cho Market. Here and the surrounding streets and alleys are
filled with traders all day. They present their goods on small tables or blankets. Cars, dogs, cats, customers, bicycles, mopeds and even small cars continually thrust through the narrow alleys. The Danish veterinary authorities would probably have closed the place immediately. But apart from the motorized vehikels in fact, trade has been going on this way for centuries.
It has always fascinated me to experience these markets around the world. They each have their own distinctive character, however
in the basic principles they are all alike.
During the day the amount of waste accumulate and are becoming more and more included with the sun, the flies
and the heat. At night, everything is packed away. sidewalk stalls disappear and the shutters are pulled down for the small shops. The night goes on and the next morning the whole area are as blown. The uneven roads and sidewalks are clean and swept. - It all can start over.
