★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptional place! We spent 6 days at the end of our Myanmar trip in Arakan Nature Lodge. Need some time and effort to get there, as roads in Rakhine state are extremely rough and bumpy, but it is surely worth the trip. The lodge is located at the beautiful, clean beach amidst coconut groves, with no other hotels around and few tourists, just the pure nature and some local villages. The bungalows are spacious (even for the family of 4) nicely decorated, ensuring comfortable stay, you can hear the waves at night. Our kids loved to use paddle and surfing boards available on site, also worth to take bicycles to go to surrounding villages. The price is high, however you get full board included - dinners are the real feast. Staff is very friendly and willing to help, Ueli is an excellent host. Surely one of the best beach options in whole Myanmar!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a long drive from Yangon but absolutely worth it. The beach is the cleanest, calmest and most beautiful we've seen in Myanmar so far. The beach huts are set in a very atmospheric palm grove, beautifully built and very comfortable. The food was delicious and Ueli and his team were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ True paradise and well worth the 7-8h curvy drive (parts of the road are new, so it's a joy to drive!). Clean private beach, with 10 or so bungalows, lovely and helpful staff and amazing fresh local food. Ueli, the owner is very accomodating and treats everyone as his personal guests. He built the whole place in line with sustainable practices and local architecture - it's simple and don't expect aircon or TV, it's a place for people-to-people conversations and looking at the sea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not just an ordinary lodge, this is the place where you can really experience true hug from the nature and love from people who run the place.
Ueli and his staffs are super considerative people and every single detail here is very carefully crafted in every aspect, the house, the bed, toilet, water you name it. And the food is full of love in every bites.
This is one of the place where I will keep on coming back again and again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent a restorative 7 days at the lodge. The ever hospitable proprietor Ueli and his team made us feel really at home, with delicious home cooked food and a family atmosphere. The water in front of the lodge is crystal clear, and you will feel sand under your feet for as long as you can walk. There was enough to do every day, with walks on the long beaches, cycle rides through the local villages, snorkelling on the reef and kayaking through the mangrove channels. Or: Just swinging in the hammock on your porch.
Ueli’s vision for the lodge is inspiring. This isn’t just tokenistic ecotourism: it’s fully off-grid in the most quiet setting. The lodge is run by solar power, the water comes from wells on the land, and food scraps and sanitation is composted. The ‘lodges’ are traditional Burmese houses: sturdy ‘iron’ wood with palm thatching. And the most impressive: No trees were felled in the construction, as Ueli purchased abandoned homes, moved them and reconstructed on site. If you want back-to-basics nature, this is the place to come. We loved it. Thanks Ueli and team!
