★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grand but old. Door man is not helping luggage to take down from car. Tv is not working. Door lock chain had broken. Internet is not working. Bath tub flush stuck and used water flow in to floor from drain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well furnished and appointed. Beautiful, large wooden villas. Mattresses are quite hard though, but I believe is typical of hotels in Pyin Oo Lwin. Good location and since it's part of their compound, you get free access to the Governor's House.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room itself is lovely. Spacious. There is a patio at the back to sit and enjoy the gardens which is nice. Other than the rooms, the grounds, green and wide, are the best thing about Aureum at Pyin Oo Lwin. There are flowers and grass growing wherever there isn't pavement.
Beds are a bit small and pillows large and hard. Bathrooms are good and clean with a choice between bathtubs and showers. Price is 80,000 MMK per night for locals..a tad pricey! If you call reception you can get the buggy and go around. Reception will also help you get a taxi if you want to eat outside or visit places.
Restaurant is expensive and uninspired. There are Indian, Myanmar and Western food to choose from with prices ranging from 7 USD upwards.
