It is the primary air gateway to the ancient sites of Bagan and surrounding areas. It also known as Nyaung Oo Airport or Bagan Nyaung Oo Airport.The airport is at an elevation of 312 feet (95 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 18/36 with an asphalt surface measuring 2,591 by 30 metres (8,501 ft × 98 ft).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small hotel with the basics. Quite pretty facade. Systems( check in / boarding pass controls etc) were manually done - unsure if usual or a systems problem. Information on flight delays or departures are not displayed so keep vigilant. Although not many passengers per flight and staff come to call you when it's time. Personal service! Note, foreign arrivals into Bagan have to pay the 25000kyat archeological levy in the airport - keep the receipts as they are checked again at some temples.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tiny airport with good ol’ hand carried baggage claim and pen/paper flight check-in. A few souvenir and coffee shops outside the terminal. No Wi-Fi.
Buy a ticket to the Bagan Archaeological Zone before you leave the airport - you’ll need a ticket to visit all the pagodas and temples. Cost is 25,000 kyat ($17 USD).
The airport is not too far (15 minutes) from the temples of Old Bagan or the hotels of New Bagan

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small yet busy local airport to and from Bagan. Good number of ground staff servicing efficiently.
A few small gift stores, Money exchange and a cafe right before immigration.
There's gate A and B, has to ask ground staff which one for departure as there's no display on screen. Custom check moved smoothly, also friendly.
Listen to the announcement was not as easily understood. Finally heard it announced for boarding and people flock to the plane very quickly. Domestic flights has its beauty of promptness in everything. Clean washroom. Keep up the good work.
