Bay of Bengal Hotel Resort

Very nice hotel with great service. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean. All of my family member love this hotel. And somemore, breakfast is one of my favorite :) Will surely visit again on my next trip to Ngwe Saung.

A bit expensive but worth to spend your holidays. Ample rooms, quiet, clean and nice landscaping. Foods are good and a bar there offers variety of beverages and liquors. Attached to the white sandy beach and the water is very clear.

nice hotel, located on the north of ngwesaung beach. great for relaxing by the pool and the sea, horse riding available, small fisherman restaurant on the right on the beach. amazing sunset. rooms are big and nice. breakfast is good. a bit far from the main street/restaurants (compared to other hotels) but better for tranquility. can go by bicycle or scotter taxi. staff is helpful and can book flight tickets, driver to yangoon...

The resort property is probably one of the best in Ngwe Suang. The rooms are super nice , the architecture is impressive . The view from the resort is very nice with the Rocky end of the beach makes it a perfect spot. The service was ok nothing fancy , I felt it could have been much much better. The breakfast was not up to my expectations , very limited menu maximum of 5-6 items only. Over all experience satisfactory

We stay there for 3 nights in Royal Bengal Villa ( sea view). Rooms are spacious with excellent view of the beach. The staff is friendly and attentive. We enjoyed lunch and dinner in Pier restaurant where the food is good and served by attentive waiters.

Staffs are nice and welcome. Room facilities are quite good. Foods and drinks are not so expensive. But the portions will be a little bit less than you expect. Breakfast here is causal which is not so bad and not so good. Pool is quite nice with pool bar and there is also small pools for kids.

The place was very peaceful, spacious and well maintained. The room was very comfortable although the bathroom was a bit too old. The staff members were polite. There were a lot of mosquitoes and as we were allotted ground floor room there were quite a few frogs that sneaked into our room. Otherwise the stay was good.

Such a promising escape started off badly. Arrived at the resort after several hours on the bus and upon checking in we were offered an opportunity to upgrade. Sounded good, however after the manger spent a few moments on the phone the upgrade cost 'increased'? After some additional thought we agreed to the upgrade and paid in cash on the spot. Off to the rooms and not even 5 minutes after settling in the manager arrives only to say the agreed cost is actually per night! We were asked to pay the new 'increased' upgrade price for each of the three rooms we had booked times the three nights!!! That was a Massive change in price after already paying premium prices. Needles to say my wife, and parents were furious and we made plans to forfeit the thousands of usd $$ paid and find an alternative resort. After multiple discussions over the phone at dinner we agreed to an adjusted upgrade and few spa vouchers(discount only we found layer). All in all, the behaviour of the manager poisoned the experience and we will not return along with our family. UPDATE: Other staff at resort were very polite and helpful. Hotel manager from Yangon came down after second day and arranged meeting with us before departure. . Apologies and notes taken by manager on what's expected of a five star resort. Thankfully remaining stay was mostly uneventful.
