★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I tried to book a room, I was explicitly told that since I was local (not being a foreign tourist), I had to pay a deposit to make sure that the room would remain available until I check in. I don't know if that is their policy for locals. I ended up not staying with them because of their attitude towards the locals (at least on the phone when I was trying to book). I chose Golden Wing Motel instead, and I am glad I did.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hotel. It looks like a wooden house of the Alps, with big rooms and big windows. The receptionists are very nice, and breakfast is spectacular. The shower is improvable, though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located close to the market, restaurants, pagodas, mosque and church. Continental breakfast included. Rooms are clean and come with hot and cold shower and bath. No heating or air-con. Extra blankets are provided. Toiletries like tooth brush, tooth paste, comb and other bath/shower items are provided. Very friendly staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place with beautiful rooms. I was sick for two days and the staff was very friendly and helpful, asking my girlfriend every day whether I felt better. The breakfast was very good and rich.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sweat and clean room with a comfortable bed. Warm sunlight and good view from the window (3rd floor). Friendly staffs and good breakfast.
Great location within 5 min of walking from the night bus stop, and near the market and downtown.
I took a night bus and arrived Kalaw at 7:30am, and they help me to check in within one hour. Really appreciated!
