★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ၁၉၉၀ ပြည့်နှစ် အထိ ကလောတွင် ဟိုတယ် တစ်လုံး နှင့် တည်းခိုခန်း တစ်ခု သာ ရှိပေသည် ။ ကလောဟိုတတယ် ( Kalaw Heritage Hotel ) နှင့် ထင်းရှူးမြိုင် တည်းခိုခန်းတို့ဖြစ်သည် ။ ၁၉၉၆ ခုနှစ် အား Visit Myanmar Year အဖြစ်မသတ်မှတ်မီ ဒေသခံများအား အစိုးရ မှ အားပေးခြင်း ၊ ဖြေလျှော့မှုများ ပြုလုပ်ပေးခြင်း နှင့် ပြည်ပမှ နိုင်ငံခြားသားများ လာရောက်ရန် မက်လုံးပေးခြင်း အစရှိသည့် အကြောင်းတရားအမျိုးမျိုးကြောင့် မြန်မာ့ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းသည် တစ်ဟုန်ထိုးတိုးတက်လာသည် ။ ထို့အတူ ကလောမြို့ရှိ ဟိုတယ်အရေအတွက်မှာလည်း ၂၀၀၀ ပြည့်နှစ်တွင် ၂၅ လုံးအထိ တိုးတက်လာရာတွင် Winner Hotel သည်လည်းတစ်လုံး အပါအဝင်ဖြစ်သည် ။ ဟိုတယ်မှာ ဆက်ဆံရေးပြေပြစ်ခြင်း ၊ ဝန်ဆောင်မှု ကောင်းခြင်းတို့ကြောင့် ထိုအချိန်က နိုင်ငံခြားသားများ များစွာလာရောက်တည်းခိုခဲ့ကြသည် ။
 Until 1990, there was only one hotel and one guest house in Kalaw. Kalaw Heritage Hotel and Htin Shwe Myaing Guest House. Government encourages locals before designating 1996 as Visit Myanmar Year; Myanmar's tourism industry is booming for a variety of reasons, including concessions and incentives for foreigners to come. The number of hotels in Kalaw increased to 25 in 2000, including one Winner Hotel. The relationship at the hotel is good. Many foreigners stayed at that time because of the good service.
