Football Ground (Htan Kone)

This football ground is attached to Nawa Nagar High School. We used to play football here in childhood. Students play football every morning and evening. Students who love to play football, reach school an hour or half hour before school time to play football. Full football ground covered green grass. In the school time, the children play football here and when the school stops in summer, the villagers use to play football. People around the surrounding villages play football in this ground. This is one of the entertainment place in this area. For the youth, this ground give such inspiration to play game. In summer, villagers enjoy to see football matches. North of the ground side, there are big trees which gives shadows to the audience of the match. In the match time, small shops are also put, so that the audience can enjoy taking foods and drinks. In our childhood, this ground used as Independent day fair for 3- 4 days. In which the circus and drama shows are special. When people did not know the cinema in the village, the cinema was shown here. There used to be a lot of crowds here at night. People came to see the cinema here by the bullock cart, to see the circus or drama. People used this ground in the propagation of elections. Even today, this football ground used to celebrate a lot of social functions and fair.
